Job summary

Danfoss Power Solutions (US) Company in Ames, IA seeks a seasoned sourcing leader to drive strategic initiatives for direct materials and services. You will manage supplier performance, negotiate agreements, and coordinate cross-functional teams to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications include 8+ years in strategic sourcing and supplier management, with GD&T experience, plus PDP stage-gate project experience and PPAP under IATF 16949.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
• 8+ years experience in supply chain or strategic sourcing including mechanical/electronics categories.
• 8+ years experience with strategic sourcing, supplier management, and project management including GD&T for mechanical/electrical/semi-conductor components.
• 6+ years experience working in cross-functional simultaneous engineering projects following a stage gate PDP.
• 6+ years experience in SAP MM and in Teamcenter PLM.
• 6+ years experience with PPAP following IATF 16949 automotive standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives for direct materials and services to optimize quality, cost productivity, and fulfillment.
• Act as the first point of contact for escalation of vendor issues affecting Supply Chain, Quality, and Plant Operations.
• Provide end-to-end leadership to projects with external suppliers, domestically and internationally, including cross-functional teams.
• Negotiate and create supplier agreements; drive spend analysis and identify TCO opportunities.
• Update systems with contract information and administer drawing specifications to suppliers.
