Job summary

Mistral seeks a visionary VP of Global Developer Relations to lead and scale our worldwide DevRel program. You will build a developer-first ecosystem, engage researchers and engineers, and evangelize Mistral’s AI platform across startups, enterprises, and academia.

You will collaborate with Product, Research, Engineering, Marketing, and Communications to ensure developers have the tools, resources, and inspiration to succeed with Mistral’s technology.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership in Developer Relations for a B2B technology company.
• Deep technical credibility—ability to engage with developers, scientists, and engineers on their terms.
• Track record of growing and nurturing technical communities (e.g., open-source projects, developer forums, hackathons).
• Strong storytelling and communication skills—ability to simplify complex concepts and inspire developers through content, talks, and interactions.
• Strategic and operational excellence—ability to scale DevRel globally while maintaining a hands-on, authentic approach.

Responsibilities

• Build a global DevRel strategy that connects Mistral with developers, scientists, and technologists.
• Lead high-impact developer engagement initiatives, including technical content, community programs, evangelism, and thought leadership.
• Enable developer success with scalable onboarding guides, SDKs, APIs, and samples.
• Scale a world-class DevRel team by hiring, mentoring, and guiding engineers and evangelists.
• Drive open-source contributions and ecosystem growth through partnerships with startups, enterprises, and academia.
