Job summary

Elanco is seeking a Senior Director, Global Development Leader to provide strategic and operational leadership for global animal health development programs from research through approval, supply readiness, and launch. You will maximize product value, drive cross-functional alignment, and ensure OTIF delivery across multiple species and pathways.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline with industry experience.
• Extensive experience in regulated pharmaceutical or animal health product development.
• End-to-end development with knowledge in Clinical Development, Technical Development/CMC, or Regulatory Affairs.
• Proven matrixed leadership across global sites.
• Experience leading complex global development programs and stakeholder management.
• Strong communication, influencing, and decision-making skills.
• High emotional intelligence with ability to lead diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and deliver program goals OTIF by managing timelines, risks and resources.
• Serve as single point of accountability to governance for program performance.
• Lead progression strategy with SMEs to optimize product profile.
• Manage governance communications with data-driven updates on progress and risks.
• Collaborate with regulatory, manufacturing and quality functions for ROI.
• Set clear goals for team members and drive accountability.
• Foster creativity, motivation and high-performance in the team.
• Identify risks and remediation plans and communicate them clearly.
• Engage with external partners/vendors as needed.
