Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking an Associate for Global Derivatives Services Operations in Newark to support the OTC derivatives desk and Advisor business. This role involves partnering with Credit, Legal, Compliance, Tax, and Pricing to ensure trades are booked accurately and compliant with regulations.

You will drive process improvements, automate where possible, and maintain strong client service across time zones. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated understanding of derivatives and hedging products (ISDA/EMIR familiarity is a plus).
• Understanding of full trade lifecycle including onboarding, confirmations, settlements and regulatory reporting.
• Familiarity with infrastructure groups and their interdependencies in trading operations.

Responsibilities

• Business Partnership: Work with Private Bank and JPM Advisory to support OTC derivatives.
• Trade Capture & Lifecycle Management: Create and capture trades and lifecycle events in Risk Management Systems.
• Legal Documentation Support: Support Dodd-Frank and ISDA processes, including confirmations and reporting.
• Intraday & End-of-Day Processing: Perform completeness and reconciliation checks for new activity.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Credit Risk, Collateral, Legal for issue resolution.
• Controls & Compliance: Conduct daily controls and escalate issues promptly.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear communication with internal support teams.
• Strategic Initiatives & Process Improvement: Contribute to initiatives to evolve processes and architecture.
• Automation Development: Identify manual processes and develop automation with risk awareness.
• Trade Flow Expertise: Develop understanding of end-to-end trade and lifecycle across products.
