Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Demand & Supply Planning Manager to lead cross-functional efforts across forecasting demand and aligning supply plans for new and existing vehicle programs. The role involves developing and validating capacity plans, driving improvements in planning tools and processes, and ensuring on-time launches through risk mitigation and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant post-graduate work experience in purchasing, supply chain, program/product management, manufacturing, logistics, manufacturing or product development.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal & written.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms (data storytelling).

Responsibilities

• Manage project status, sufficiency plans, issue closure, and performance metrics.
• Develop, review, approve, and maintain Global Tooling Letters and vehicle/part Lean Capacity Rates.
• Conduct capacity simulations and studies for future content, program milestones, and production changes.
• Identify and resolve demand–supply disconnects, capacity constraints, and future supply gaps.
• Partner with Purchasing, Scheduling, Program Execution, Program Purchasing, Operations, and suppliers on constraint-resolution plans.
• Support flawless launches by identifying, escalating, and resolving capacity risks across new vehicle programs.
• Provide root-cause feedback to advance Global Capacity Management processes.
