Develops and implements inventory policies, standards, guidelines, technology and procedures. Plans inventory per sales forecast, to meet both customer service and inventory targets. Coordinates and schedules the shipment of finished goods from system locations or outside facilities to fulfill contractual agreements with customers. Follows through on problems related to customer invoicing, receipt, payment and delivery as necessary. Reports the shortages and surpluses of company products to management.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates cross functionally to drive the 5 steps of the IBP process, through financial integration, focusing on demand plan valorization, inventory management and overall business target setting.
  • Provides leadership and guidance on the demand and supply planning processes that drive cost-effective stock availability.
  • Develops and ensures that appropriate planning processes and systems in place are compliant with Corporate policies.
  • Partners cross functionally to develop solutions to a variety of problems with varying levels of scope and complexity.
  • Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate courses of action.
  • Responsible for Regional Demand Planning staff as well as respective information systems that generate a statistical forecast for all products categories.
  • Builds effective relationships and partnerships with key suppliers as well as internal/external client groups.
  • Ensures understanding and communication on the business consequences arising from tradeoffs concerning the planning activities.
  • Organizes and presents information that ensures timely forecasting communications and common goals and objectives across franchises and functional areas.
  • Provides leadership vision to departmental staff to attain process efficiencies by continually reducing forecast error while increasing customer service levels.
  • Ensures close collaboration with the finance, commercial partners, regions, and global demand planners to reconcile and synchronize demand with sales expectations to ensure optimal customer service while managing inventory to target levels.
  • Drives a robust process and drumbeat to manage business rules and planning parameters (including safety stocks and inventory targets), transportation lanes, replenishment methods, and process tolerance and triggers to enable an input-driven E2E Planning process based on current supply chain capabilities.
  • Collaborates cross functionally to drive profitable trade-off decisions.
  • Develops and ensures that appropriate planning processes and systems are in place to execute the planning operations and are compliant with Corporate policies.
  • Manages execution of the E2E Sense and Respond process, ensuring deviations/alerts from defined tolerances are actioned and escalated (as needed) as defined by process inputs.
  • Evaluates the multi-echelon impact of supply disruptions and recommends prioritized actions to resolve and balance all relevant trade-offs. Leverages Scenario Planning capabilities as required.
  • Responsible for the Global Demand Planning teams of assigned Business Portfolio as well as respective information systems that generate a statistical forecast for assigned product categories.
  • Organizes and presents information that ensures timely forecasting communications and common goals and objectives across functional areas.
  • Know & follow EES policies and procedures and assures that direct reports know and follow EES policies and procedures related to work activities performed in area of responsibility.
  • Completes trainings in area of responsibility and assures that direct reports are trained in area of responsibility within allowed time-period.
  • Observes and promotes safety, security, industrial hygiene, and other rules established by the company. Attend applicable health, environmental, and safety training programs. Sets standards for safe behaviors. Recognize and reward safe behaviors in others. Ensure that direct reports employ safe practices. Enforce safety policies and procedures.
  • Identifies and leads cross functional special projects and workshops for continuous improvement purposes.
  • Connects across different sub-franchises to leverage on continuous improvement opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Materials Management or Engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of supply chain related experience is required.
  • Supply chain experience in the medical device, consumer or pharmaceutical is preferred. Hands on working experience with inventory / planning/order management / MRP systems / financials is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP (SAP/APO/SNP) & Advanced Planning Systems (OMP) is preferred.
  • Understanding of End-to-End supply chain interactions and interdependencies.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and reasoning skills / Master complexity / Organizational skills.
  • Ability for decision making, applied Emotional Intelligence to work under time pressure, and capacity to make good judgement on special situations. Accuracy and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skills in planning processes and inventory management, proactive approach to continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, reading, and written) both English and Spanish.
  • Ability to apply project and personal leadership to successfully achieve goals.
  • Ability to share knowledge and personal experience with peers. Coach others when appropriate.
  • Ability to build strong collaborative relationships, considering diverse perspectives and styles.
  • Ability to target their communications as appropriate for the audience and make presentations to a small to medium sized audience.

  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certifications preferred.
  • Process Excellence & CPIM (Certified in Production & Inventory Management / IBF) Certifications preferred.
