Adidas is seeking a Senior Distribution Center Solutions & Design Engineer for its Global Engineering team in Spartanburg, SC. The role focuses on designing scalable DC layouts, processes, and automation, and requires frequent international travel to implement standards across regions.

You will lead or support feasibility studies, drive MHE standardization, and collaborate with IT (WMS/WCS/WES) and regional teams to optimize facility performance and cost-efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in distribution center design, covering facility layout, process engineering, automation, and material flow.
• Translate forecasts and requirements into end-to-end DC designs using CAD tools (AutoCAD).
• Strong expertise in MHE and automation solutions including ASRS, goods-to-person, conveyors and advanced automation.

Responsabilités

• Define and improve global DC design standards for layout, process design and automation.
• Develop scalable DC design and automation strategies from forecasts and volumes.
• Drive standardization of MHE, automation, and DC processes across regions.
• Collaborate with Global Non-Trade Procurement on supplier and technology strategies.
• Lead or support feasibility studies and business cases for new DC builds and upgrades.
• Introduce new DC technologies with regional teams and IT systems.
• Benchmark against external best-in-class DC concepts for continuous improvement.
• Advise regional DC management during concept design, implementation and ramp-up.
• Support capital projects through engineering and MHE workstreams from concept to handover.
• Contribute to global engineering community through best-practice sharing and documentation.
• Identify and improve layouts, flows, packaging usage, and operations in a warehouse environment.
