Job summary

adidas seeks a Senior Project Manager for Global Engineering in Spartanburg, SC to shape and deploy global DC design standards, automation concepts, and MHE strategies. You will partner with regional teams and IT (WMS/WCS/WES) to ensure scalable, cost‑effective implementations worldwide.

The role requires 5+ years in engineering, 2+ years in management, and willingness to travel internationally. A strong background in CAD, data analysis, and lean practices is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in engineering, Mechanical/Industrial or business with supply chain focus.
• 5 years engineering work experience, ideally in a distribution center environment.
• 2 years management experience required.
• Willingness to travel internationally on frequent basis.
• Excellent English language proficiency (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Define and continuously improve global DC design standards.
• Develop scalable DC design and automation strategies.
• Drive standardization of MHE, automation, and DC processes.
• Partner with Global Non-Trade Procurement for global/regional strategies.
• Lead feasibility studies and business cases for new DC builds/expansions.
• Introduce new DC technologies with regional teams (WMS/WCS/WES).
• Benchmark DC concepts against external best-in-class solutions.
• Act as technical authority to regional engineering and DC management.
• Support capital projects from concept to handover.
• Contribute to global engineering community and best-practice sharing.
• Identify improvements to processes, layouts and operations in warehouses.
• Evaluate labour management systems and work measurement methods.
