Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc. in Raleigh, North Carolina, is seeking a global datacenter engineering specialist to identify market opportunities and drive innovative solutions from an engineering perspective.

You will set market targets, align internal teams with partners, coach regional teams, and contribute to the R&D roadmap while focusing on profitable growth. This role requires leadership, deep technical sales acumen, and the ability to communicate datacenter trends across regions.

Qualifications

Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in engineering or a related field and 10 years of experience working with power or distribution systems.
In lieu of the bachelor’s degree, a master’s degree with 8 years of experience is acceptable.
Must have 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, business development or account management in datacenter and energy solutions.
Must have 5 years of experience with transformers technologies and integration into power distribution networks.
Must have 5 years of experience with business models including Hyperscale, Colocation, and Edge.
Must have 5 years of developing and executing strategic marketing and sales plans for profitability and growth.
Must have 1 year of experience with data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, KPI dashboards, Salesforce, SAP, Power BI).
Experience in leadership or strategic roles and understanding regional and global market dynamics.

Responsibilities

Identify market opportunities in the datacenter segment.
Develop and execute strategic marketing and sales plans for profitability and growth.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to drive opportunities.
Set order and gross margin targets for global sales leadership.
Coach regional teams and support product specialist development.
Act as a subject matter expert and contribute to R&D roadmap.
