Job summary

AppleCare is seeking a Data Privacy Project Manager to bridge AppleCare operations, Data Privacy, and Legal teams. You will guide cross-functional teams through privacy assessments, ensure compliance with evolving global regulations, manage data privacy issues, and lead complex projects from concept to delivery while upholding privacy standards.

The role emphasizes PM discipline, technical understanding, and collaboration across Privacy Legal, architects, and DRIs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent privacy/compliance work experience.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Good understanding of legal frameworks, data protection principles, and legislative processes.
• Proven project management experience with PM methodologies, frameworks, techniques, and tools.
• Demonstrated track record of leading and delivering medium- to large-scale, global, cross-functional projects.
• Strong technical acumen with ability to understand technical issues and navigate complex systems landscapes.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between AppleCare, Data Privacy, and other departments to ensure business project needs are met while remaining compliant.
• Coordinate PIAs, LIAs, Secondary Use Data Requests, and ROPs to be filed accurately and on time.
• Drive privacy activities with business owners to maintain compliance with global privacy laws and policies.
• Coordinate operational and technical changes stemming from regulatory investigations or internal audits.
• Assist Legal teams in preparing responses to regulatory inquiries.
• Manage privacy issues, escalations, root-cause analyses, and mitigation plans.
• Maintain Radar management and a centralized privacy repository across AppleCare systems.
• Lead data privacy projects across full lifecycle from inception to post-launch review.
• Develop project documentation in line with AppleCare Technologies standards.
• Communicate project expectations, risks, and status clearly to teams and stakeholders.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks across cross-functional partners.
