Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Lead Data Governance Engineer to join the Data Products team and help shape the future of global commerce. You’ll ensure the data powering analytical, decisioning, optimization and commercial products is accurate, complete, well understood and fit for purpose.

You’ll own data quality, profiling, and governance controls across critical datasets, define data contracts, and communicate risks and remediation plans to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in data analytics, data quality, or data engineering.
Strong SQL skills with track record of profiling and reconciling large datasets.
Experience defining data-quality rules, thresholds, and monitoring.
Excellent written and verbal communication translating data issues to business impact.

Responsibilities

Assess data quality and fitness for purpose across products with defined thresholds.
Build profiling, reconciliation, and monitoring controls for critical datasets.
Investigate data anomalies, identify root causes across source systems and pipelines.
Define data contracts, alerts, and tolerances for key product inputs.
Communicate data risks and remediation options to stakeholders.
