Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Lead Data Governance Engineer to join the Data Products team.

You will ensure data powering analytical, decisioning, and commercial products is accurate, complete, well understood and fit for purpose. You will own profiling, reconciliation, and monitoring across critical datasets, investigate complex data anomalies, define data contracts and automated alerts, and communicate risks and improvements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data analytics, data quality, or data engineering.
• Ability to operate independently as a senior contributor.
• Strong SQL skills with large datasets.
• Experience defining data-quality rules and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assess data quality and fitness for purpose for product data.
• Build profiling, reconciliation, and monitoring controls for critical datasets.
• Investigate data anomalies and partner with teams for remediation.
• Define data contracts, alerts, and tolerances for product inputs.
• Communicate data risks and improvements to stakeholders.
