Job summary

Tennant Company in Minneapolis is seeking a Data Engineer to support the Global DSBI Team. You will build and optimize data pipelines, models, and reporting assets for Global Supply Chain and NABU, collaborating with stakeholders to translate needs into scalable data solutions.

The role emphasizes data quality, governance and delivering actionable insights through Power BI, Databricks and SQL within a strong analytics culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Data Analytics/Science with related minor.
• 1–3 years in data analytics, data engineering, BI or related tech field.
• Foundational data analysis, modeling, transformation and validation concepts.
• Working knowledge of SQL and at least one language like Python or R.
• Experience with BI platforms such as Power BI and Databricks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and validate data pipelines, datasets, and reporting models.
• Collect, clean, transform, and integrate data from multiple sources.
• Build and enhance data models, semantic layers, and reporting datasets.
• Develop Power BI, Fabric, Databricks, SQL assets aligned with team standards.
• Conduct data quality checks and troubleshoot data accuracy issues.
• Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate business needs into technical tasks and reporting outputs.
• Document data sources, transformations, and reporting logic.
