Job summary

MinneAnalytics in Bloomington, MN is seeking a Data Engineer to help build foundational data capabilities supporting business intelligence, manufacturing analytics, AI, security, and enterprise reporting across a complex semiconductor manufacturing environment.

The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain pipelines, ingest data from enterprise and legacy systems, and enable secure, scalable data lakes, warehouses, and data marts in collaboration with AI engineers, analysts, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Professional experience designing and building production data pipelines.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
• Experience ingesting and transforming data from multiple sources.
• Understanding of data warehouses, data lakes and data marts.
• Experience with legacy data and incomplete documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain pipelines ingesting data from enterprise, manufacturing, and legacy systems.
• Bring disconnected data into data lake, warehouse, analytics, and AI environments.
• Profile legacy data to understand structure, quality, ownership, and sensitivity.
• Develop transformation processes with metadata, ownership, and security attributes.
• Support AI-enabled approaches to identify sensitive data and governance requirements.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to translate data needs into scalable solutions.
• Help design data lakes, data warehouses, data marts, and related architecture.
• Document source-to-target mappings, transformations, and dependencies.
• Support modernization of legacy manufacturing systems into SQL-based environments.
• Ensure row-level security and role-based access for infrastructure teams.
