Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and launch execution for a category of GDCS products. This global, cross-functional leadership role influences Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, and Program Management rather than direct functional ownership.

Lead multi-year roadmaps, architecture decisions, and pricing strategy; build capability for configure-to-order delivery.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive experience in product management, product engineering, or technical commercial leadership of engineered physical equipment.
• 5+ years owning multiple product lines simultaneously with demonstrated tradeoffs and prioritization across them.
• Multi-year product roadmap ownership funded, executed, and delivering measurable commercial results.
• Engineered equipment programs through full NPI from concept to volume production.
• Experience defending capital investment business cases at executive level (NPV/IRR, capacity expansion).
• Global scope experience with multi-region responsibility and freight economics influence.
• Experience working with Sales to diagnose competitive losses and translate into product actions.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio Strategy and Roadmap: Own multi-year roadmap, define platform strategy, and assess competitors.
• New Product Introduction: Ensure credible NPI plan and launch readiness across the portfolio.
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop Product Managers and engineers.
