Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Principal Data Center Engineer in Sunnyvale, CA to define next-generation architectures at the intersection of physical infrastructure and IT systems.

You will partner with Hardware, Software, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams to drive scalable data center designs and innovative architectures for ML/AI workloads. You will lead cross-functional engineering efforts, influence senior stakeholders, and ensure reliable, cost-effective deployment of Google's data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience in data center physical infrastructure architecture and systems engineering.
• Experience aligning data center physical infrastructure with ML/AI workloads.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction for data center and equipment designs, lead cross-disciplinary architecture to optimize system design.
• Drive modular data center design initiatives, scalable and containerized architectures.
• Deliver technical direction and data analysis for overall system architecture and performance.
• Collaborate to design for manufacturability and supply chain efficiency.
• Analyze flows to maximize speed-to-market and global scale while optimizing cost and reliability.
