Job summary

Google Inc. is seeking a Data Center Site Lead for Global Server Operations to own the site's server and network infrastructure, ensuring reliability and performance through expert leadership and cross-functional alignment.

You will manage a team of Data Center Leaders and Technicians, oversee deployment and maintenance of networks, storage, compute and AI infrastructure, and develop contingency plans for high-risk operational transitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience managing technical teams in charge of installing, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, or maintaining hardware servers and its components.
• 3 years of experience in site-level data center operational leadership.
• 3 years of experience in a people management, supervision, or team leadership role.
• Experience with different operating systems (e.g., Linux). Experience with developing network architecture.
• Ability to work non-standard hours, including working weekends, night shifts, holidays and on shift-based schedules as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Data Center Leaders and Technicians to install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware and server software.
• Own deployment and ongoing maintenance involving networks, storage, compute, and AI infrastructure, leading high-risk operational transitions.
• Develop comprehensive contingency plans and align with cross-functional site organizations.
• Maintain and enforce security and operational procedures; track trends for improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to meet goals and manage facility activities and strategies.
