Job summary

Google LLC in Lancaster, TX seeks a Technical Operations Manager for Third Party Data Centers. You will oversee electrical, cooling, and IT infrastructure operations, partner with data center engineers, hardware ops, and third-party vendors to ensure operability, maintainability, and reliability across global sites.

The role emphasizes implementing best practices, reducing costs, and maintaining safety and environmental standards, with executive-level communication and project management

Qualifications

• Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 9 years of experience in electrical, mechanical/HVAC, or controls/automation in an industrial or commercial environment.
• 5 years of experience in program or project management in mission-critical facilities (e.g., data centers, chip fab), design-build, or real estate development environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive efforts to test, validate, improve, and certify new processes and procedures for critical complex equipment operation for the data center domain.
• Lead efforts to perform compliance activities for a data center and analyze compliance results for data centers globally.
• Drive efforts to monitor data center systems operations, control site activities to minimize risk, and ensure effective response to excursions.
• Drive efforts to ensure sites follow facility, maintenance, and standard programs globally while improving said policies and programs.
• Lead strategies to keep operational costs down, improve efficiency, and reduce environmental impact at a site, plus managing site-level programs.
