Job summary

Brivo, Inc. in Austin is seeking a Network Engineer to own and optimize the global data center backbone. You will design, architect, and implement networking solutions across continents, shaping the infrastructure and security posture of our cloud platform.

You will work with Linux, Python, and automation tools, collaborating with Infra, SRE, and Development teams. This 5-day in-office role offers high-impact architecture decisions and opportunities for growth within the Infra stack.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer with Juniper EVPN-VXLAN and enterprise firewalls.
• Working knowledge of core routing protocols BGP/IPSec for scaling global data center networks.
• Strong proficiency in Linux and automation tasks using Python, Bash, or Ansible.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for proactive network monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Implement, optimize, and scale the global data center backbone for high availability and security.
• Contribute to Juniper EVPN-VXLAN fabric design for scalable overlay networks in our cloud environment.
• Configure and manage routing protocols (BGP, IPSec, ICCP) for resilient connectivity.
• Configure and maintain security policies using Fortinet/firewalls.
• Collaborate with Infra, SRE, and Development teams to integrate networking with compute/storage/Kubernetes/Ceph.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, Ansible) for provisioning and scaling.
• Utilize Prometheus and Grafana for infrastructure observability and insights.
• Provide effective troubleshooting to minimize downtime.
