Job summary

5C Data Centers in North America is seeking a Network Engineer to implement, maintain, troubleshoot and support our data centers network infrastructure.

You will work with operations and architecture teams to monitor health, document configurations, and support upgrades and migrations across the network stack. The role requires hands-on experience with routing, firewalling, and multi-vendor platforms; a strong problem-solving mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience operating data-centre networks including routing, firewalling, and optical networking across major platforms.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, able to perform under pressure.
• Hands-on experience with Ethernet switching, BGP, TCP, UDP, HSRP/VRRP, DNS, ARP, IPv4 and IPsec VPN.
• Experience with spine-leaf architectures using EVPN-VXLAN.

Responsibilities

• Maintain infrastructure reliability with the Operations team and support rollout of new designs and solutions.
• Configure and deploy multi-vendor networking technologies and equipment.
• Support customers and contribute to a positive customer experience.
• Troubleshoot switching, routing, and network connectivity issues in data center fabrics, security policies and VPNs.
• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance for network growth and upgrades.
• Create and review operational documentation and network diagrams.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
