Job summary

Meta's Edge & Network Services team is seeking a seasoned Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support large-scale data center networks across multiple locations, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.

You will lead initiatives to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability, participate in NPI, and develop tooling with software teams to provision and monitor networks. Travel 25–40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, CE or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing and deploying large-scale data center networks.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure.
• Experience leading cross-functional data center projects.
• Understanding TCP/IP, routing and switching, IP + Optical hardware.
• Willingness to travel 25–40%.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design engineering and implementation of large-scale data center networks across locations.
• Research, develop and deploy technologies to scale data centers and optimize deployments.
• Lead strategic initiatives to improve efficiency, innovation, and standardization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to develop features.
• Influence future data center designs for new infrastructure.
• Participate in the NPI process for network infrastructure.
• Partner with software teams to build tooling for provisioning, management and monitoring.
• Create network design packages for deployment teams.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
• Develop automation to drive consistency and efficiency.
• Perform site visits to validate cabling per Meta standards.
• Maintain technical documentation.
