Meta's Edge & Network Services team is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support large-scale data center networks globally. You will drive efficiency, collaborate with diverse teams, and lead initiatives to standardize networking practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience using AI to improve deployment reliability, quality and speed.
• Hands-on design and deployment of large-scale data center network infrastructure.
• Knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure and standards.
• Familiarity with data center design, construction, and commissioning processes.
• Leading cross-functional teams on large-scale data center projects.
• Strong problem solving with strategic and tactical execution.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and optical transport.
• Knowledge of enterprise and provider level network hardware (IP + Optical).
• Excellent organizational, multitasking and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design engineering and implementation of large-scale data center networks across locations.
• Research, develop and deploy technologies to scale data centers and optimize deployments.
• Lead strategic initiatives to drive efficiency and standardization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to develop new features.
• Influence future data center and network designs for seamless integration.
• Contribute to New Product Introduction processes for network infrastructure.
• Partner with software teams to build tooling for provisioning and monitoring networks.
• Create network design packages for deployment.
• Build relationships with stakeholders, partners and vendors.
• Develop automation to drive consistency and efficiency in design, deployment, and ops.
• Conduct site visits with construction and design teams to validate cabling per Meta standards.
• Maintain technical reference, process and training documentation.
• Travel 25% to 40% depending on project demand.
