Job summary

Serverfarm is seeking a senior IT leader to manage a distributed team responsible for global data center IT infrastructure, including server, storage, virtualization, network, and monitoring. You will own incident response, patching, backups, and documentation standards across sites.

Travel to sites across North America and Europe will be required as project schedules demand. The role emphasizes cross-functional alignment with Corporate IT, Security & Compliance, and Operations.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years in systems administration, network administration, or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience leading or managing technical staff.
• Experience with distributed/remote teams across time zones.
• Proficiency in Windows Server, Linux, virtualization, storage, and IP networking.
• Proven incident management and root cause analysis for critical infra.
• Track record of establishing operational standards and docs.

Responsibilities

• Own availability, performance, and lifecycle of global data center IT infrastructure.
• Manage incidents, drive root cause analysis, ensure remediation.
• Oversee vendor/integrator relationships and service delivery.
• Lead IT scope for new facility deployments and expansions.
• Drive budget input for IT capital and operating costs.
