Job summary

DoorDash, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, Global Cyber Defense to lead incident response, detection engineering, threat intelligence, and insider threat teams globally.

You’ll report to the Global Chief Security Officer and shape strategic plans, policies, and procedures to strengthen the company’s security posture. You will mentor security engineers, drive engineering-first initiatives, and coordinate with Legal, HR, Compliance, and IT to manage threats in a fast-paced, distributed

Qualifications

• 15+ years in cyber defense with 10+ in cloud-native environments.
• 10+ years of security leadership and people management.
• Experience leading global incident response and security operations at tech companies.
• Deep technical expertise across cyber defense domains.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong collaboration across IT, Legal, Compliance, HR, and business units.
• Familiarity with cyber defense platforms and their implementation (e.g., SIEM).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, diverse environment.

Responsibilities

• Align Cyber Defense strategy with DoorDash business objectives.
• Lead incident response, investigations, countermeasures, and recovery.
• Coordinate with incident responders, cross-functional teams, and law enforcement.
• Investigate insider threats with Legal, Fraud, and HR.
• Evaluate and implement advanced threat detection technologies.
• Analyze threat intelligence to identify top threats.
• Grow an engineering-first Cyber Defense program with scalable services.
• Define and deliver SLAs and improve operational resilience.
• Mentor security engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
