Kuehne+Nagel is seeking a Customs Specialist to optimize logistics and ensure compliant, timely entry processes in the U.S. You will handle customs entry transactions and support the Brokerage Department as per NBSC guidelines.

The role offers exposure to FDA, EPA, DOT, FCC, and Fish & Wildlife regulatory processes. You will work closely with the team to ensure accurate data, proper classification, and proactive communication with carriers and clients.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in customs clearance for road and rail transport.
• Experience with CargoWise software.
• Knowledge of domestic and international geography.
• Basic knowledge of INCOTerms, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and other government agency requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Process shipments within NBSC guidelines.
• Input data accurately to process and facilitate shipments through U.S. Customs.
• Classify goods according to SOPs and instructions.
• Check CargoWise queues daily to ensure steps in entry/brokerage processes are followed.
• Review documents for accuracy and verify critical data elements for entry processing.
• Communicate entry status to carrier and necessary parties.
• Assist in preparing documents for regulatory clearance by agencies (FDA, EPA, DOT, FCC, etc.).
