Job summary

Schindler Elevator Corporation in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Customs & Trade Compliance Manager. This hybrid leadership role builds the global compliance framework and standardizes processes across regions, reporting to Finance.

You will oversee customs brokers, manage escalations, and strengthen controls while identifying risks and driving cost optimization. Requires 7–10+ years in customs and trade compliance and a Bachelor's in a related field. ERP experience with SAP SAP GTS is preferred.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive customs and trade compliance experience.
• Strong technical expertise in classification, valuation, and origin.
• Experience with ERP/trade management systems (e.g., SAP, SAP GTS).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the global customs and trade compliance framework.
• Standardize processes and support global policy implementation across regions.
• Act as escalation point for complex issues with guidance and consistency.
• Oversee brokers and partners, monitor performance and compliance.
• Identify risks and support audits and remediation activities.
• Analyze data to drive cost optimization and informed decisions.
