Job summary

DSV – Global transport and logistics in Herndon is seeking a Customs Specialist, Entry Writer to prepare and review import/export documentation, ensuring compliance with tariff classification, valuation, and origin rules.

You will coordinate with internal teams, clients, brokers and authorities, maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations, and support audits and process improvements. Strong English communication and 2–3 years in customs operations are required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in customs operations or brokerage.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations, processes and documentation.
• Familiarity with import/export operations and clearance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review customs documentation including import/export declarations.
• Ensure tariff classification, valuation and country of origin compliance.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, brokers and authorities on issues.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations and procedures.
