Brink's Incorporated is hiring a Customs Entry Specialist to support the internal Brinks Brokerage Company and the US Customs at JFK Airport in Springfield Gardens, NY.

The role involves preparing and processing import/export documentation, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and maintaining strong client relationships. A minimum of two years in customs clearance and a valid brokerage background are preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in freight forwarding or customs clearance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customs entries and follow up with the clearance process.
• Scan, file, copy, and assemble documents.
• Calculate duties or tariffs to be paid on merchandise.
• Communicate and follow up with documentation discrepancies to client and supervisor.
• Review rates, trace product movement, file entries with Customs; provide clarification and valuation of merchandise.
• Prepare all documents including bills of lading and licenses.
