Job summary

Brink's Global Services at JFK Airport in Springfield Gardens, NY is seeking a Customs Entry Specialist to liaison with the internal Brinks Brokerage Company, import/export teams, and US Customs. You will prepare customs entries, validate documentation, and guide shipments through the clearance process.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in freight forwarding or customs clearance work.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word and Excel and related software.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; brokerage certification is a plus.
• Experience supporting import/export processes with customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare customs entries and follow up with the clearance process.
• Scan, file, copy, and assemble documents for shipments.
• Calculate duties or tariffs and verify valuation of merchandise.
• Communicate discrepancies to client and supervisor and resolve.
• Review rates, track product movement, and file with Customs.
• Prepare bills of lading, licenses, and consulate documents.
• Process post-entry work including refunds and rulings.
• Maintain client relationships and stay updated on customs changes.
