Job summary

Perry Ellis International in Miami is seeking an import/logistics professional to prepare and file U.S. Customs entries and support daily import operations.

This dual-role requires meticulous accuracy, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across vendors, brokers, and internal teams. You will verify HTS classifications, country of origin and duty rates, monitor shipments for clearance, and assist with ACE, CBP compliance, and tariff research to keep shipments moving

Qualifications

• Experience with customs entry processing, import operations, or freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of CBP requirements, HTS classification, and customs duties.
• ACE and Microsoft Excel experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file U.S. Customs entries through ACE.
• Review invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and other import documents.
• Verify HTS classification, country of origin, value, duty rates, and Chapter 99 requirements.
• Monitor shipments and provide updates on customs clearance.
• Assist with daily import/logistics operations and resolve shipment issues.
