Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Erlanger, KY is seeking a Customs Specialist - Entry Writer to handle CBP transactions, classify and value goods, and ensure regulatory compliance. You will manage entries, monitor clearances, gather required documents, and liaise with clients, brokers, and agencies.

The role requires 2–3 years in customs brokerage, familiarity with ACE and customs software, and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Customs brokerage.

Responsibilities

• Review of Customs documents to be filed with CBP ensuring accuracy.
• Verify classification and valuation with the importer when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations.
• Obtain the appropriate documents required to support claims or disclaims.
• Ensure the proper and timely payment of duties, taxes, or other charges assessed or collected by CBP on merchandise by reason of its importation.
• Maintain documents required under 19 CFR 163.
• Monitor and track customs clearances and resolve any delays or issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, customs brokers, and government agencies to resolve customs-related issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and procedures.
• Attend provided trainings.
• Support the development and implementation of customs compliance procedures and policies.
