Job summary

GrandCHB INC. in Alhambra, CA is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Entry Writer to join our logistics team. You will prepare and file customs entries, audit documents for HTS codes, and coordinate with freight forwarders to ensure on-time clearance.

The role requires about 2 years of customs brokerage experience, HTS familiarity, and strong organizational skills. Proficiency in MS Office is expected, and overtime may be required during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum about 2 years of experience in customs brokerage as an entry writer.
• Prior experience with T86 is preferred.
• Familiar with Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).
• Ability to classify commodities is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of incoterms.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented; able to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Audit documents and apply HTS codes for duty assessment.
• Prepare customs entries and ensure timely clearance.
• Follow SOPs for data requirements in clearance.
• Track shipments and coordinate with steamship lines and freight forwarders.
• Invoice for duties and entry charges.
• Provide updates to U.S. Customs and clients.
• Respond to daily emails and calls.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy and customer service.
