Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer in the Long Beach area to support import operations and ensure timely, compliant customs clearance for international shipments.

You will prepare and manage all required documentation, coordinate with agencies, and ensure adherence to US customs regulations. A background in freight forwarding or logistics is preferred, with strong data entry and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in customs or related role, manufacturing focus preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of customs procedures, laws and regulations.
• Accurate data entry with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder communication.
• Familiar with FDA PGA requirements.
• Proficiency with MS Office and customs software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process import/export documentation per regulations.
• Calculate duties and tariffs for shipments.
• Handle FDA (PGA) requirements and ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain SOPs to ensure consistent operations.
• Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues quickly.
• Coordinate with Customs Compliance Manager to stay aligned with regulations.
• Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams for timely clearance.
• Organize and maintain records of customs documents.
• Track shipments from origin to destination.
