CHAOS Industries in Los Angeles area is seeking a Customs Compliance Manager to lead HTS and Schedule B classification, valuation, and country of origin determinations for U.S. Government, allied, and commercial shipments.

You will oversee brokers, manage entry and clearance activities, and ensure compliance with export controls, with a hands-on approach to grow the function. Collaborate with Logistics, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering to embed compliant sourcing and shipping practices,

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s with 5–7+ years in customs compliance for imports/exports (aerospace/defense preferred).
• Working knowledge of U.S. customs laws, FTRegulations, HTS, Schedule B, and country of origin.
• Hands-on with HTS/Schedule B classification, valuation, and records.
• Experience overseeing customs brokers and reviewing entries/export declarations for accuracy.
• Familiarity with ITAR/EAR and export controls understanding.

Responsabilidades

• Determine HTS and Schedule B classification, valuation, and country of origin; maintain classifications in database.
• Oversee brokers and serve as compliance contact for shipments to clear without delay.
• Review import/export documents for accuracy; prepare AES corrections and disclosures as needed.
• Manage temporary exports, demos, repairs, and returns in both directions.
• Track duty/tariff exposure and identify savings opportunities; advise on sourcing decisions.
