Job summary

Monster Energy seeks an international trade and compliance specialist to manage customs for global shipments and ensure regulatory adherence. You will coordinate with vendors, brokers, and government agencies to nationalize items and meet destination requirements.

You will oversee testing, certifications, and licenses, identify non-compliance risks, and implement corrective actions, while maintaining regional guidelines to support efficient imports and exports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in international trade, customs audits and inspections
  • 1–3 years of experience in import/export regulations, procedures
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP
  • Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule, ITAR, and EAR

Responsibilities

  • Research and coordinate foreign customs regulations for each shipment to ensure compliance with international trade laws and to avoid delays or fines.
  • Collaborate with vendors, custom brokers, government agencies to nationalize items, including translation and relabeling to meet destination country requirements.
  • Ensure all necessary testing, certificates, and licenses are obtained for shipments and identify potential areas of non-compliance with corrective actions.
  • Maintain and continually update the database with regional compliance guidelines to support efficient international shipments.
  • Perform additional tasks or duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager, supporting the team.

A Day in the Life:
  • Research and coordinate foreign customs regulations for each shipment ensuring compliance with international tradelaws to avoid delays or fines.
  • Work, collaborate with vendors, custom brokers, government agencies to nationalize items, includes translation andrelabeling to meet the specific requirements of the destination country. Work with government agencies to ensure all regulations are met and any issues are addressed.
  • Ensure all necessary testing, certificates, and licenses are obtained for shipments, as required by the foreign countryfor compliance and smooth importation of goods. Identify potential areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans
  • Maintain and continually update the database with regional compliance guidelines to support efficient internationalshipments.
  • Perform any additional tasks or duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager, supporting the overall objectives ofthe team.

Who You Are:
  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Business, International Trade, or related field of study
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in international trade, customs audits and inspections
  • Additional Experience Desired: Between 1-3 years of experience in import, export regulations, procedures
  • Computer Skills Desired: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); SAP; Printer
  • Preferred Certifications: N/A
  • Additional Knowledge or Skills to be Successful in this role: Knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Schedule, International Trafficin Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) desired.

Monster Energy provides competitive total compensation. The estimated hourly pay range for this position is listed below. Actual compensation may vary based on skills, qualifications, experience, and work location.

Pay Range: $23—$26 USD
