Job summary

MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, seeks a Customer Quality Engineer to drive quality improvements for major programs. You will engage with customers, coordinate with regional Quality Teams, and support PMs with structured problem solving to reduce delays and optimize execution.

In this role you will lead APQP/PPAP activities, align manufacturing partners, and establish metrics to showcase MISUMI Americas as an order-winning supplier.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical subject; Master’s preferred.
• Fluency in English (Chinese fluency is an additional skill).
• Minimum of 3 years Quality Engineering or Program Management experience in mechanical part manufacturing.
• Experience working in a global organization and influencing colleagues in different time zones.
• Fully conversant in GD&T principles.
• Strong understanding of Injection Molding, 3D printing, or Sheet Metal.
• Strong understanding of quality principles and manufacturing processes (metrology expertise).
• Six Sigma certification.
• Ability to evaluate customer requirements and standards and convert them into executables.
• Understanding of ISO9001:2015 requirements and related QMS standards.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Head of Global Quality and assist as needed.
• Review customers' quality requirements and integrate into MISUMI Americas QMS.
• Support APQP and PPAP activities and measurement plans for mechanical parts.
• Ensure analytical methods are aligned across manufacturing partners and regions.
• Provide SME support to program managers and cross-functional teams.
• Act as a bridge between customers and regional Quality Teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve MISUMI Americas QMS and supplier network.
• Establish performance indicators to measure customer quality performance.
• Respond to customer-initiated SCARs in a timely and complete manner.
• Serve as a customer advocate for quality while balancing customer demands.
