Job summary

Nubank seeks a Lead Business Control Officer to strengthen the first line of defense for our Global Credit Card portfolio. You will partner with senior leaders across Product, Operations, and Risk to identify, assess, and manage non-financial risks, ensuring business objectives are achieved with a strong control environment.

You will lead the BCO model evolution, embed risk ownership in the first line, and drive pragmatic governance while enabling innovation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with credit card products in global or multi-market settings.
• Strong non-financial/operational risk management background.
• Solid understanding of risk and control frameworks, governance, and regulatory expectations for consumer credit products.
• Experience designing, assessing, and improving processes and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary first-line risk partner for the Global Credit Card business, balancing risk with business goals and customer impact.
• Lead risk and control self-assessments (RCSA), incident management, and remediation programs in the first line.
• Define, track, and report KPIs/KRIs to enable timely risk visibility and governance discussions.
• Collaborate with second and third lines of defense to ensure effective risk challenge and ownership.
