Job summary

Weatherford is seeking a Global Cost Optimization and Repair Manager to drive cross-functional cost savings across product lines, starting with Drilling Services. The role focuses on repair, redesign, supplier sourcing, and process improvement to reduce cost, extend asset life, and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience across engineering, advanced manufacturing, R&M, supply chain, operations, cost optimization, or technical program leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional cost-reduction initiatives and deliver measurable financial and operational outcomes in a global, matrixed organization.
• Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing, repair, sourcing, supplier qualification, quality, and operational performance drivers.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen to develop business cases, evaluate technical and commercial data, prioritize opportunities, and track value realization.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills across functions, cultures, Product Lines, and geographies.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, adapt priorities, and convert evolving business needs into practical actions and sustainable improvements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP, engineering, repair-tracking, catalogue, workflow, and reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring activities are conducted ethically and in compliance with Company policies.
• Places Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and protection of the Environment as core values and ensures cost optimization initiatives do not introduce risk.
• Ensures repair procedures, redesign solutions, supplier qualifications, and risk-based change approvals comply with applicable requirements.
• Maintains service quality and supports compliance with Weatherford’s Management System.
• Leads cross-functional cost optimization initiatives from concept through deployment with value realization plans.
• Identifies gaps and develops processes, scorecards, data standards, tools, systems, and operating practices.
• Monitors savings, quality, reliability, and supplier performance; drives corrective actions.
• Delivers validated annualized savings using a Finance-aligned methodology.
