Job summary

DLA Piper seeks an Associate to join our corporate practice. This position can be based out of any US office.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience advising domestic and international companies pursuing expansion or relocation in the US; advising across industries with new HQs, manufacturing and distribution facilities, data centers, and major office projects; and negotiating discretionary incentives.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 6+ years of experience at AmLaw 100 firm.
• Admitted to practice in the state where based.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research to support case/transaction strategy.
• Draft briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
• Assist/manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution.
• Build strong client relationships with internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with lawyers and professionals to develop strategies.
• Attend high-level legal activities including court hearings and negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay current on law.
• Pursue professional development and contribute to firm citizenship.
