Job summary

Applied Materials in Santa Clara, CA is seeking an experienced Corporate Event Manager to lead our global event portfolio. You will design, plan, and execute conferences, executive briefings, customer summits, and recognition events across the company’s technology divisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5–7 years in corporate event management, with at least 3 years managing large-scale conferences.
• Proven vendor and contract negotiation experience.
• Experience using Cvent for event management and registration.
• Excellent project management with competing priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management, including interaction with C-suite executives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute end-to-end corporate events, including major industry trade shows and executive briefing programs.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and vendor contracts to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Communications and Executives to align events with goals and roadmaps.
• Negotiate venue, A/V providers, and other contracts.
• Oversee external agencies/contractors and event registration platforms.
• Monitor risk, compliance, and safety for on-site events.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (about 20%).
