Job summary

Amazon Fuse is seeking a senior controllership professional to own the monthly and quarterly close, ensure proper revenue recognition under ASC 606, and develop scalable financial controls. You will partner with business, tech, and finance teams to advance AI-enabled accounting improvements.

The role requires strong accounting skills, leadership, and the ability to influence senior leaders in a fast-paced global environment. CPA preferred and COSO knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the monthly/quarterly close process, including preparing journal entries, analyzing variances, and delivering meaningful financial reporting to management.
• Review new contracts and interpret contractual terms to determine appropriate revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Prepare and review technical accounting memos under US GAAP, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Understand internal control design concepts sufficient to assess the effectiveness of controls and design new processes and controls for emerging and growing business activities.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams including Business, Finance, and Tax to ensure alignment, compliance, and scalability.
• Drive projects, provide accounting guidance, and often serve as first point of contact for finance and business partners to launch new projects and resolve issues.
• Evaluate existing processes and recommend, develop, and drive improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.
• Drive AI and automation solutions for operational improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy across accounting processes.
