Job summary

K&L Gates seeks a Global Controller to lead its worldwide accounting operations, providing strategic direction and strong financial controls across 40+ offices. You will partner with firm leadership to optimize processes, reporting, and compliance in a complex, multinational environment.

Reporting to the CFO, you will manage a dispersed team, drive policy development, and oversee audits, internal controls, and financial planning with a focus on accuracy and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA required (or equivalent).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a controller or senior role; 5+ years leading accounting personnel.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the accounting function, including GL, AP, payroll, treasury, and reporting across 40+ offices.
• Oversee preparation and analysis of financial statements ensuring GAAP compliance and statutory reporting.
• Lead external audits and drive internal controls and process improvements.
