Job summary

ThomsonReuters seeks a Global Controller to lead the controllership and financial operations for a standalone JV from Day 1, reporting to the CFO. Build accounting infrastructure, implement close processes, and guide governance across multiple jurisdictions.

You will drive automation and AI in finance, oversee ERP and reporting systems, and manage a global team up to 50, presenting to the Board and Audit Committee. A CPA and 15+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of progressive accounting and financial operations experience, with leadership in controllership or equivalent.
• Active CPA license (or international equivalent).
• Experience building or transforming accounting/financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end close process for all global entities; establish calendars and gates.
• Lead policies and procedures aligned with US GAAP across jurisdictions.
• Prepare consolidated/entity financial statements and Board materials; communicate to stakeholders.
• Oversee statutory/regulatory reporting and audits; coordinate with advisors and auditors.
• Direct transactional finance functions: billing, collections, payroll, A/P, royalties, commissions.
