Public Technology Company in the Greater Boston area seeks a Global Controller to lead its worldwide accounting organization. This executive role owns general ledger, intercompany accounting, global consolidations, financial reporting, and the month- and quarter-end close, with a mandate to drive finance transformation and automation to scale processes and speed the close.

Qualifications

• Experience leading accounting in a global, publicly traded company with US GAAP.
• CPA required with strong knowledge of SOX compliance.
• Proven track record in accounting transformation and automation.
• Ability to lead and develop a global accounting team.
• Experience with month- and quarter-end close processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global month-end and quarter-end close across domestic and international entities.
• Own and improve general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and journal-entry processes.
• Oversee global intercompany accounting, reconciliations, settlements, and eliminations.
• Lead the group consolidation process and appropriate treatment of intercompany activity.
• Oversee preparation and review of financial reporting for GAAP compliance.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Legal, Internal Audit, IT and business leadership.
• Drive finance transformation, process standardization, and automation initiatives.
• Champion ERP capabilities and technology enablement to reduce manual work.
• Improve speed and efficiency of the close with clear ownership and metrics.
• Maintain SOX compliance and coordinate with auditors.
• Lead, develop and mentor a global accounting team.
