Job summary

General Intuition seeks a Global Controller to own US accounting, reporting, and compliance end-to-end. You will lead month-end close, automate workflows, and coordinate auditors across jurisdictions, requiring mastery of US GAAP and strong tax knowledge.

You should bring 10–15 years of Big 4/public accounting experience with deep US GAAP and international tax across multi-entity structures, thriving in a fast-paced startup with extreme attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Owns ledgers and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close in US GAAP.
• Manages US federal/state and international tax with external advisors.
• Owns payroll compliance and PEO relationships.
• Leads audits, reporting, and investor updates.
• Builds scalable finance processes with AI tooling.
• 10–15 years of Big 4/public accounting and US + international tax experience.
• Thrives in a fast-paced startup with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and close processes with controls.
• Coordinate tax filings, cross-border structures, and transfer pricing.
• Manage payroll taxes and filings.
• Lead audit prep, financial statements, and due diligence.
• Develop lean, automated finance workflows across accounting, billing, payroll, and reporting.
