Job summary

Customer.io, a global remote-first company, seeks a Global Controller to own the close, books, and control environment. You will lead a growing team across revenue accounting, close, AP/AR, payroll, and treasury, partnering with the CFO and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities include leading monthly/quarterly close, ASC 606 revenue recognition, equity compensation accounting, managing audits, and driving a scalable, audit-ready framework using NetSuite, Stripe, Ramp, and FloQast.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Big 4 foundation or equivalent.
• Deep US GAAP mastery, ASC 606 experience.
• Experience leading external audits and keeping books audit-ready.
• Remote-first/globally distributed company experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly and quarterly close, GL, AP/AR, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Own revenue accounting and ASC 606, ARR-to-GAAP bridge explanations.
• Author technical accounting memos on contracts, SSP allocation and capitalization.
• Oversee equity compensation accounting (ASC 718) and cap table integrity.
• Build and scale a global controller function with a remote team.
• Manage external audits and coordinate with tax partners.
