Job summary

Global Accounting Network is partnering with an exciting data center hyperscaler to hire a Controller for a remote, high-growth environment. You will own external audit, internal controls, GAAP reporting, and collaborate with lenders and investors.

Candidates with public company experience and IPO exposure, strong ERP and Excel skills (NetSuite/QuickBooks useful) are sought. A CPA and 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience are preferred, with 3–5 years in senior/controller roles.

Qualifications

• CPA with degree in Accounting or Finance; CIA is a strong plus.
• 8-12 years progressive accounting experience, including 3-5 years at senior accounting or Controller level.
• Big 4 or large regional public accounting background in audit, assurance or advisory.
• Public company experience, IPOs or comparable transactions.
• Track record of designing and implementing internal controls, not just maintaining them.
• Experience of lender reporting, debt covenant compliance and financing transactions.
• Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills. NetSuite or QuickBooks useful.

Responsibilities

• Own the external audit end-to-end; financial statements are audit-ready at all times.
• Design, implement, test internal controls (SOX or equivalent).
• Monthly, quarterly and annual GAAP reporting to management, the board and lenders.
• Month-end and year-end close, the general ledger, and day-to-day accounting operations.
• Lender covenant reporting and financing due diligence support.
• Cash position, forecasting and banking relationships.
• Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis with the CFO.
• Build and develop the accounting team as the business grows.
