Job summary

Thomson Reuters is seeking a Global Controller to lead the controllership and financial operations for its joint-venture and standalone entities. The role requires building accounting infrastructure, driving monthly and statutory closes, and partnering with the CFO, Board, and Audit Committee.

You will guide a global team, implement ERP and reporting systems, and apply AI and automation to finance workflows while ensuring compliance across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in accounting and financial operations with controllership leadership.
• Active CPA license (or international equivalent).
• Experience building or transforming accounting/financial operations function.
• ERP implementations end-to-end experience.
• Automation, RPA, and AI in finance to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close for global entities.
• Establish close calendars, policies, and quality gates.
• Prepare consolidated and entity-level financial statements and Board materials.
• Lead statutory/regulatory reporting and audits across jurisdictions.
• Oversee treasury-adjacent functions and intercompany settlements.
• Design and implement internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR).
