Job summary

Sphere Entertainment Co. is seeking a VP Construction to lead key development and delivery across Sphere projects worldwide. This on-site role requires coordinating internal Sphere stakeholders with external designers, GCs, and subcontractors to meet time, cost, and quality KPIs.

The post holder will drive strategic planning, champion risk management, and ensure effective reporting throughout the project lifecycle while aligning with Sphere’s creative and technical goals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Approximately 15 years of experience managing large-scale development and construction projects.
• Background in contracting, consultancy or client organizations with design, procurement and delivery of major projects.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to defined quality and safety standards.
• Strong understanding of design, engineering, procurement, and construction processes.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills across multidisciplinary and international teams.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments.
• Experience in participating within large internal project teams and staff management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead development and construction projects from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with Sphere’s creative and technical goals.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful global delivery.
• Coordinate across internal teams, consultants, and external partners to ensure seamless execution.
• Maintain consistent project oversight across preconstruction and construction phases.
• Anticipate and mitigate risks through proactive planning and issue resolution.
• Support strategic project planning and decision making to align with long-term organizational objectives.
• Ensure effective stakeholder communication and reporting at all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and delivery methodologies.
