Job summary

Generac Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a Global Commodity Management Specialist to support strategic management of worldwide commodities and supplier performance.

You will work with cross-functional teams to execute sourcing strategies that reduce total cost and improve gross margin while aligning the supply base. The role emphasizes cost productivity, supplier negotiations, data analytics, and development of Master Supply Agreements to optimize inventory turns and lead times across a global

Qualifications

• Cost reduction and bidding techniques to maximize value.
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers.
• Knowledge of strategic purchasing concepts and supplier contracts.
• Ability to adjust priorities and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with supplier contracts, quality controls, and problem-solving methodologies.
• ERP knowledge and system navigation.

Responsibilities

• Identify, support, and deliver material cost productivity to COGS using continuous improvement.
• Support development and communication of commodity and supplier strategies.
• Manage supplier performance and drive corrective actions using data analytics.
• Assist in negotiating and executing supplier agreements to maximize value.
• Support supplier development and quarterly business reviews.
• Evaluate suppliers to improve service levels and reduce total cost and improve efficiency.
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements for inventory turnover and cost optimization.
• Optimize supply chain lead times from suppliers to customers.
• Report on supplier and commodity market analysis and trends.
• Monitor and improve supplier scorecards.
• Act as SAP Super User within the functional area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
